What Weighted Grade is for
Weighted Grade Calculator is the page to open when you need weighted grade from measurements you already have. It belongs with the other math calculators because that is the work this arithmetic supports. The course grade those scores average to is the grade average. Type the entries first. The result stays hidden until you press Calculate, so a half-finished form never flashes a number you might mistake for the answer.

The formula in plain language
Pitch is how far the roof rises for every 12 units of run. Percent grade is the rise divided by the run, times 100. The angle in degrees is the inverse tangent of rise over run.
A worked example
A roof that rises 6 inches for every 12 inches of run is a 6/12 pitch, a 50% grade, and a 26.6 degree angle.
A test, a weighted category, and the GPA are one course record. This weighted grade result belongs with GPA and college GPA calculator.
Mistakes that move the answer
- Run is horizontal, not the length of the rafter.
- A 6/12 pitch is not a 6 degree angle.
How to check the result
After Calculate shows the weighted grade result, redo the last operation with a pencil using the rounded figures on the screen. Matching that check means the inputs were read correctly.
